We were on a three-week tour that led us from Atlanta, Tallahassee, Fort Walton Beach, New Orleans, Darrow/Baton Rouge, Natchez, Little Rock, Memphis, Nashville back to Atlanta and we stayed here for two nights last week (April 2014). To make a long story short: Everything was perfect: very friendly staff, great breakfast, spacious and clean room, beautiful lobby area, and, most importantly, the location: you can walk to all major attractions (except Graceland): Mississippi River Museum, National Civil Rights Museum (Lorraine Motel) and Beale Street. Parkings costs 10USD per day, but here it is worth it. Also, we had a view of the bridge connecting Arkansas and Tennessee. The Welcome Center is just down the road. All in all we were very happy here and it was one of our best stays on this tour. Of course, we did not miss Graceland. It is definitely worth going there! We as East Germany enjoyed that very much. Also, standing where MLKing jr was shot was unforgettable. The National Civil Rights Museum and its new, just re-opened exhibition is a MUST! We would always stay here again because everything, except Graceland, is within walking distance and a great breakfast is included.
