The Reviews Are In! Comfort Inn Downtown Memphis

This Week’s Reviews From Customers

Arrived early for the reservation, but was immediately welcomed with a friendly & speedy check-in. Nothing fancy about the lobby where the main entrance is through the parking garage.

The room was clean with plenty of bathroom towels. The coffee maker had not been emptied from prior occupants and there was only one each of toiletries for 2 guests. Not that big of a deal since we conveniently met housekeeping the next morning and requested more supplies. They were very pleasant and we returned later with more than enough coffee, soap, etc. for the rest of our stay. Although the heating/cooling unit was a bit noisy, it seemed to work just fine. Bed was comfy with lots of pillows and there was a personal safe in the closet. The room had a great view of the Mississippi River across the street and pool below.

The complimentary breakfast had eggs, sausage, & a waffle station in addition to the usual muffins. More juice variety and good, hot coffee was available. A flat street tv is in the breakfast area for morning weather and local news.

The hotel is just a few, short blocks from the trolley & MATA (city bus) and is easy to navigate from for the hot spots and must see places of the city. The Tennessee Visitors Center is across the street full of info about Memphis and of coarse, the rest of the state.

Tip: the hotel garage is a good deal and it’s very convenient

Pros: clean, spacious, great location (next to the main street), quiet, comfy bed, large bathroom with a huge vintage mirror, convenient and cheap garage, good value for money

Room Tip: We stayed in the 10th floor (next to the vending machines but it was quite) and we had a good view
